  • In the Bridewell Hall, St Bride Foundation
  • Admission £5

Paul Barnes is a graphic designer and typographer who also makes typefaces and with Christian Schwartz runs a typefoundry, Commercial Type. Tonight he will talk about how important the past has been in his work, how it has influenced many of his designs and what we can learn from it in making contemporary typefaces. He will be showing his latest design ‘Marian’ and signing copies of ‘Marian, une collection de revivals’ (a bilingual edition, published by Ypsilon Éditeur) afterwards.
