How to use the Library

Photocopying service

There is a staffed photocopying service; readers are not permitted to make their own photocopies. Readers should complete a request form for each item. Orders are normally ready the same day. If you are having your copies posted the price of photocopying will include first class postage. There is no minimum charge, and payment must be made in advance. Please note the restrictions and special arrangements for copying rare materials.

Photocopying can only be provided if it is in accordance with the copyright act, 1988 and if it does no damage to the artefact. If you have any queries please contact the reading room or e-mail the enquiry service.

Photography service

The photographing of material from St Bride Library collections can be carried out on request, subject to copyright restrictions. Photographs maybe taken by readers themselves, or the Library is happy to arrange for the photography to be done. It is essential to make an appointment prior to taking photographs, the price of which is available on request. If the photographs are to be used for publication, the Library will take a fee. If you have a deadline let us know and we will do our best to help you.

Please contact the reading room or e-mail the enquiry service.
